About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Our client is looking for a Client Success Manager who can combine strong judgment, data-driven decision making, and direct client leadership.
About the Client
Our client primarily helps senior women leaders land their next promotion. This year, the company is working toward 5X growth as part of its larger goal of helping 100,000 senior leaders.
As the company scales, this role will own one of the most important parts of the business: making sure growth does not come at the expense of the thing the company is actually selling: results.
You’ll take real ownership over client outcomes, use data to understand where clients are progressing or getting stuck, lead direct accountability conversations, and work closely with the founder to improve retention, revenue, and the overall client experience.
What You’ll Do Day-to-Day
Own outcomes for a portfolio of 50–100 clients in the company’s signature program by:
Leveraging existing data-driven systems and frameworks to diagnose client progress
Watching for patterns across your roster to identify barriers, performance gaps, or opportunities for improvement
Leading direct, honest conversations when clients are off track, commitments are not being met, or the stated problem does not match what the data is showing
Using the company’s Recovery Call framework to uncover root issues, reset expectations, and help clients recommit to the actions required to reach their goals
Identifying trends across the client base and recommending changes that can improve implementation, engagement, and results
Drive revenue through renewals, upsells, and new enrollments by:
Identifying clients ready to renew or invest in additional 1:1 support based on results, needs, and engagement data
Building strong relationships with clients throughout the program that naturally create opportunities for referrals
Managing and nurturing existing warm leads with thoughtful, consistent outreach and follow-up
Taking the lead on 1:1 application calls with prospective clients and using consultative sales methods to move qualified prospects toward enrollment
Recognizing when a client conversation is about support, when it requires accountability, and when it may create an opportunity for renewal, upsell, or referral
Act as right-hand to the founder by:
Confidently handling real-time client challenges with strong judgment and solution-oriented thinking
Bringing the founder concise, high-judgment updates and clear recommendations on process, program, or client experience improvements
Protecting the founder’s time by resolving what you can directly and escalating only what truly requires her input
Looking across the business for broader patterns and opportunities rather than focusing only on individual client situations
What Our Client Is Looking For
Experience owning measurable client, customer, project, or business outcomes rather than solely supporting someone else who owns them
A track record of managing senior stakeholders, executives, clients, or cross-functional teams where you had to influence without relying on formal authority
Comfort using data, dashboards, spreadsheets, KPIs, or reporting to identify problems and make decisions
Experience having direct conversations around performance, accountability, missed commitments, or results
Strong judgment and the ability to make reasonable decisions without needing a supervisor to weigh in on every unexpected situation
Confidence communicating with high-performing executives and professionals
The ability to balance empathy with accountability rather than defaulting too heavily toward either one
Bonus: experience with renewals, retention, consultative sales, coaching programs, professional services, high-ticket offers, or client success
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll report directly to the founder
You’ll work closely with clients who are senior leaders and high-performing professionals
You’ll collaborate with the broader team as the company continues to scale
This Role Is FOR You If:
You appreciate measurable progress, not just vibes, and want the data to reflect real momentum
You can hold high-performing executives accountable while operating with both authority and compassion
You’re energized, not drained, by a good spreadsheet and know how to use data to understand the real story behind a situation, not just report the numbers
You can confidently think on your feet and give someone a reasonable next step in the moment rather than stalling out or punting the decision for later
You know how to dig one layer deeper in a tough conversation and recognize when the stated issue may not be the real issue
You take real ownership of whether clients get results, not just whether their checklist is complete
You’re comfortable challenging someone’s thinking when the evidence suggests a different conclusion
You naturally look for patterns, root causes, and opportunities to improve the system around a problem instead of only addressing the immediate issue
This Role Is NOT For You If:
You’ve rarely had to manage up in previous roles or have typically relied on a manager to step in for difficult conversations with clients or team members
Most of your experience has centered on execution, coordination, and follow-through rather than challenging clients, influencing decisions, or driving accountability
You’ve done your best work when there was a clear playbook or supervisor available to tell you how to approach unexpected situations
Your favorite client-facing roles have focused primarily on relationships and conversations, with someone else responsible for tracking the numbers and evaluating performance
You prefer to focus deeply on a defined area of ownership rather than looking across clients, systems, or the company to identify broader trends or opportunities
You tend to avoid difficult conversations until you have full certainty or approval from someone else
You prefer roles where success is primarily measured by responsiveness, organization, or task completion rather than business or client outcomes
What This Role Offers
Full-time W2 employment
Fully remote position
$80,000 base salary
Commission on closed sales
Growth path into a leadership seat as the company scales
