Senior Backend Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with 6+ years of experience to build, scale, and maintain high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Node.js or TypeScript, backend architecture, APIs, databases, and scalable production systems.
What You'll Do
Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js/TypeScript
Build and maintain robust APIs and backend integrations
Contribute to backend architecture and system design decisions
Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability
Design and optimize database schemas and queries
Integrate third-party services and internal systems
Debug complex production issues and drive root-cause resolution
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
Participate in code reviews and improve engineering standards
Collaborate with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making
Must have
6+ years of backend engineering experience Strong hands-on experience with Node.js or TypeScript Strong experience building backend services and REST APIs Good understanding of system design and scalable architectures Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases Experience building and maintaining production-grade applications Strong coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills Good understanding of software engineering best practices

Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, or similar databases Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems Docker/Kubernetes experience CI/CD and cloud deployment experience Experience working in a startup or high-growth product environment Experience building AI/ML-powered products or integrations
