Staff Engineer

We are seeking a Staff Engineer with 8+ years of experience to drive architecture, scalability, and technical excellence across complex software systems. The ideal candidate has a strong background in distributed systems, is highly hands-on, and can lead technical decisions while mentoring engineers and influencing engineering strategy.
What You'll Do
Lead the architecture and design of scalable, reliable software systems
Drive key technical decisions and engineering best practices
Build and optimize high-performance backend services and platforms
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions
Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical guidance
Improve system reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence
Identify and resolve complex technical challenges across the platform
Influence the long-term technical roadmap and engineering strategy
Must have
8+ years of software engineering experience Strong expertise in designing and building scalable distributed systems Proven experience driving architecture and technical decisions Hands-on coding experience in one or more backend languages (Node.js/TypeScript, Java, Go, or Python) Strong understanding of system design, performance, reliability, and observability Experience with cloud platforms and modern engineering practices Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management skills

Experience building AI/ML-powered products or platforms Exposure to microservices, event-driven architectures, and data-intensive systems Experience working in high-growth product companies or startups Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, and infrastructure automation Experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives Contributions to open-source projects or technical communities
