Embedded Engineer

Position Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Engineer to join our NVM Controller Firmware team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing and implementing firmware for the next generation of Flashtec® NVMe controllers, working on cutting-edge storage technology used by top data center and enterprise customers worldwide.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
5–8 years of hands-on embedded systems development.
Strong proficiency in C and C++ with proven product development experience.
Solid foundation in software engineering methodologies and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in the computer storage industry, particularly NVMe and PCIe protocols.
Desired Additions:
ARM SoC architecture.
Hardware/software co-verification and emulation platforms (e.g., Cadence Palladium, Protium).
Source code management tools (Git, Perforce).
Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
DevOps practices and Continuous Integration frameworks.
JIRA or similar project management tools.
Scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
Linux environment experience (CLI, device drivers, shell scripting).
Security product development and cryptographic algorithms.
Experience with bus and logic analyzers.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for NVMe controller SoCs.
Debug and resolve complex issues in real-time embedded systems.
Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, validation, and system teams.
Develop and maintain robust engineering documentation.
Contribute to Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines and DevOps workflows.
Participate in full software development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, and debugging.
