Role Description The Chief Business Officer is a part-time, remote role responsible for guiding overall business strategy, growth, and financial performance. In this role, the individual will develop and refine business plans, oversee financial planning and budgeting, and identify new market opportunities and strategic partnerships. Day-to-day activities include collaborating with product and technology leaders, conducting market and competitive analyses, and providing leadership on pricing, revenue models, and resource allocation. The Chief Business Officer will also support decision-making with data-driven insights, advise on organizational structure and processes, and help maintain a culture aligned with the company’s values and long-term vision.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial data, market trends, and performance metrics.
Expertise in finance and financial management, such as budgeting, forecasting, and revenue optimization.
Proven experience in business development, including partnership building, deal negotiation, and growth strategy.
Background in consulting or management consulting, with experience advising on strategy, operations, and organizational change.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration in remote settings.
Experience in software or technology-driven businesses, ideally in product or web application environments.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Advanced degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
