Role: Mainframe z/OS DBA (with Change Data Capture (CDC) exp)
Location: Remote
Candidates must have “Precisely CDC” experience, not IBM CDC. CDC stands for Change Data Capture.
Someone who is a mainframe DBA. Instead of dba work, they are working on a specific tool: CDC (Precisely is the vendor) Their system is different than IBM’s and he does NOT want IBM CDC - There will be learning curve if they do not have “Precisely CDC”. 30 hours of their work week will be with this tool and then the other 10 hours of their week will be DB2 work.
Job description:
The Senior Db2 for z/OS DBA as a Precisely Connect CDC Engineer will be responsible for supporting, administering, monitoring, and troubleshooting Precisely Connect CDC replication solutions that replicate data from IBM Db2 for z/OS environments to cloud and distributed data platforms.
The role requires strong Db2 for z/OS database administration expertise combined with an expertise in Change Data Capture, transaction-log-based replication, mainframe infrastructure, security, and cloud integration.
The engineer will partner with Mainframe DBA, application and platform engineering teams to ensure reliable and secure movement of Db2 z/OS data to downstream cloud platforms.
Job Requirements
Strong hands-on experience administering IBM Db2 for z/OS in enterprise production environments.
Strong Hands-on experience with Precisely Connect CDC, formerly SQData.
