Company Description Cancer Foundation of India (CFI) is a non-government organization dedicated to cancer prevention as a key strategy for cancer control in India. The organization focuses on innovative communication, advocacy, and research on India-specific cancers, aiming to change how cancer prevention is understood and implemented. CFI conducts capacity-building programs and develops educational materials for clinicians, social workers, and health workers to strengthen nationwide cancer prevention campaigns. The foundation is also expanding its work to provide clinical and psychosocial support for cancer survivors and address survivor-related issues across the country. Role Description This is a full-time, unpaid Marketing Intern role based on-site in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Marketing Intern will support the planning and execution of marketing and outreach activities that promote CFI’s cancer prevention and survivor support initiatives.
Day-to-day tasks will include assisting with market research, preparing promotional materials, supporting awareness events and campaigns, and helping manage communication with stakeholders.
The intern will collaborate with program lead to gather information, develop simple marketing content, and help track engagement and feedback from target audiences.
This role offers hands-on experience in social sector marketing and an opportunity to learn from experienced public health and advocacy professionals.
Duration: 12 weeks
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills for engaging with internal teams, partners, and community stakeholders.
Candidates should possess Market Research and Marketing Strategy skills to support planning and evaluation of outreach and awareness campaigns.
Candidates should possess Sales-related and basic Marketing skills to assist in promoting programs, events, and educational initiatives.
Basic knowledge or interest in non-profit work is beneficial.
Ability to work on-site full-time in the Kolkata metropolitan area
Proficiency in English; knowledge of Bengali or other regional languages is an advantage.
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Marketing, Communications, Public Health, or a related field is preferred.
