About the role

Vaidio AI Vision Platform | United States | Full-time
Build deep Kubernetes expertise while helping enterprise customers run one of the most advanced AI vision platforms in the market.
Vaidio is seeking a hands-on Technical Support Engineer to own complex Tier 2 and Tier 3 issues across Linux- and Kubernetes-based customer deployments. This is not a high-volume help desk role. You will investigate difficult infrastructure and application problems, write scripts, analyze logs and system behavior, and partner directly with support, product, and engineering teams to drive issues through resolution.
You will also develop expertise in Vaidio’s AI Vision Platform, which turns existing camera feeds into real-time intelligence for safety, security, operational effectiveness, and compliance.
What You’ll Do
Own advanced Tier 2 and Tier 3 support cases involving Kubernetes deployments, Linux systems, containers, networking, storage, and related infrastructure.
Reproduce issues, inspect logs and metrics, isolate root causes, and recommend durable fixes or practical workarounds.
Write and refine scripts that support diagnostics, deployment, automation, and issue resolution.
Work directly with enterprise customers through tickets, email, calls, and screen sharing; communicate clearly during high-impact incidents.
Partner with principal support engineers, product engineers, and developers when incidents require escalation or product changes.
Monitor platform behavior and contribute to reliability, scalability, and support best practices.
Create and maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, knowledge-base articles, and internal technical documentation.
Continuously learn Vaidio’s AI vision technology and apply that knowledge to customer deployments.
What Success Looks Like
You bring genuine production support experience—not only coursework, certification, lab work, or a home environment. You can explain Kubernetes incidents you personally diagnosed, the evidence you reviewed, why you chose each troubleshooting step, and how the issue was resolved.
You are equally comfortable working independently and collaborating with engineers. Customers trust your judgment because you communicate precisely, take ownership, and stay composed while solving difficult problems.
Required Qualifications
Hands-on, day-to-day experience supporting Kubernetes in production customer or enterprise environments.
Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
Experience supporting containerized applications and working with Docker or comparable container technologies.
Demonstrated ability to analyze logs, metrics, events, and system behavior to identify root causes.
Experience owning complex customer escalations and collaborating with engineering teams through resolution.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for direct interaction with enterprise and public-sector customers.
Ability to write scripts and create clear technical documentation.
Self-directed work style, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and the discipline to succeed in a remote environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered for exceptional candidates.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, storage, security, cluster operations, and microservices.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the Elastic Stack.
Experience supporting complex enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, video platforms, analytics, or AI-enabled products.
Exposure to government, healthcare, defense, or other security-sensitive customer environments.
