Business Development Representative, AI Labs

This new, high-growth vertical combines Via’s global scale with cutting-edge artificial intelligence to build next-generation software for cities, automate complex systems, and unlock massive revenue opportunities.
As a BDR, you will operate at the intersection of marketing and sales to support the growth of AI Labs. You will own the research and outreach strategies to generate meaningful engagement with top prospects and customers, facilitating the partnerships that bring equitable and affordable transit to communities worldwide and supercharging the public sector with AI solutions.
This is an exciting role, tasked with building a book of business for a fast-growing new vertical. You’ll play a key role in shaping the team’s approach and helping cities develop new AI solutions.
About the Role:
Build pipeline for AI Labs, a new vertical dedicated to improving how cities function.
Perform deep-dive research on accounts and individuals to create comprehensive buying committee maps and informed account plans.
Lead multi-channel outreach campaigns across email, phone, and LinkedIn to articulate the value of Via’s AI solutions.
Facilitate meetings, provide demos, qualify leads, and close deals as appropriate.
Maintain and optimize sales tools within our CRM and marketing tech stack to ensure data accuracy and process scalability.
Collaborate with commercial teams to align outreach efforts with broader sales goals and regional growth strategies.
About You:
Minimum of 1–4 years of experience in B2B marketing, account-based marketing, or a sales development (BDR/SDR) role.
Analytical mindset with the ability to use campaign data to identify what’s working and where to pivot strategy.
Proficiency in CRM and marketing automation tools to manage high volumes of outreach and research effectively.
Clear, concise communicator capable of writing professional outreach and explaining complex AI solutions simply.
Hungry to learn about AI, automation opportunities in the Public Sector, and the Via buying audience, with a proven ability to implement feedback quickly.
Resilient and team player who enjoys building relationships over time and remains undeterred by setbacks.
Compensation and Benefits:
All final pay rates and levels will be determined by candidates experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Salary Range: Associate $70,000-$80,000 + $5k bonus target // Associate Principal - $90,000 -$115,000 + $10k-15k bonus target
