Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Tractor Service Tech and Assembly professional. In this position, the team member will perform routine and complex maintenance and repair tasks on tractors and specialty turf equipment, including diagnostics, adjustments, and parts replacement. Daily responsibilities include assembling new equipment to manufacturer specifications, testing functionality, and preparing machinery for delivery or field use. The role also involves remote field service coordination, supporting end users with troubleshooting guidance, service scheduling, and documentation of work performed. The Tractor Service Tech and Assembly professional will interact with customers and internal teams to address equipment issues, ensure timely resolutions, and promote safe operation of all equipment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Maintenance & Repair skills, including performing scheduled maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and replacing components as needed.
Candidates should possess Troubleshooting abilities for mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems to identify and resolve equipment performance problems.
Candidates should possess Field Service experience, including coordinating remote service visits, documenting work, and supporting customers with equipment setup and use.
Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to communicate clearly with turf professionals, provide guidance, and represent STEC Equipment in a professional manner.
Candidates should possess general Maintenance skills for tools, shop equipment, and vehicles, ensuring safe and efficient work environments.
Relevant qualifications include experience with agricultural or turf equipment, familiarity with tractor operation and safety practices, and the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
Additional beneficial qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, vocational or technical training in mechanics, good organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
