To transition from an early-stage nonprofit to a scalable, permanent institution, The Animal Cause, Inc. must measure progress through more than just numerical statistics. We require structured operational evidence and impact verification.
The Impact & Institutional Progress Analyst Team bridges data analytics, business process documentation, and qualitative proof collection. This position builds the measurement systems, audit trails, and reporting frameworks that capture our journey from current baseline capabilities to institutional maturity across all programs—including Mercy Stage, community operations, technology infrastructure, and volunteer administration.
Core Focus Areas "Metrics + Evidence"
Quantitative Metrics & KPI Tracking Standardizing indicators for volunteer throughput, digital reach, animal visibility conversions, and program efficiency[cite 3, 5].
Qualitative Evidence & Artifact Archiving Documenting verifiable proof of performance—such as side-by-side identity verification logs for AI media, volunteer retention records, SOP compliance proofs, and program outcome case studies.
Institutional Gap & Baseline Analysis Benchmarking current operational capacity against future-state organizational standards to identify bottlenecks, resource gaps, and workflow risks.
Responsibilities
Establish Operational Baselines Document current throughput, output cadence, error rates, and volunteer lifecycle metrics across active teams.
Build the "Evidence Repository" Design and maintain a centralized catalog of qualitative proofs, audit logs, success documentation, and verified program outcomes[cite 3, 5].
Cross-Functional Progress Tracking Partner with team leads (Technology, Media, Marketing, Web Operations) to capture monthly operational developments and verify task completion.
Executive Dashboards & Reporting Develop clear, visually engaging progress reports and scorecard summaries for organizational leadership and advisory teams.
Process Bottleneck Identification Analyze workflows to locate systemic friction, reporting delays, or operational drift away from standardized procedures[cite 3, 6].
