Execute and monitor cryptocurrency transactions across custody and exchange platforms, and support oversight of crypto and fiat treasury positions to help manage liquidity
Own the accounts receivable (AR) process end-to-end, including invoicing, tracking outstanding balances, and following up on collections
Support the Foundation's external annual audit process
Track payments and payment status across the organization, maintaining clear records of what has been paid, what is outstanding, and what is upcoming.
Manage the Foundation's accounts payable workflow in Bill.com, including invoice processing, approvals, and payment execution.
Administer the Foundation's corporate card program and policy compliance
Reconcile corporate card and expense activity on a monthly basis, flagging discrepancies and ensuring timely close-out
Help enforce accounting policies and internal control procedures aligned with GAAP
Manage the Foundation's payroll process
Partner with the CFO and the accounting firm on ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed
About You
4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) and an in-house accounting manager or senior accountant role
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's a plus); active CPA license strongly preferred
Direct experience managing the accounting function for a crypto or Web3 organization, including leading monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Hands-on experience executing and reconciling cryptocurrency transactions across multiple platforms, and managing crypto and fiat treasury positions
Experience developing and enforcing accounting policies and internal controls aligned with GAAP
Experience reviewing or overseeing monthly close and bookkeeping work
Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (or a comparable general ledger system), with the ability to review journal entries, reconciliations, and trial balances
Hands-on experience with Bitwave or similar crypto/digital asset accounting tools; comfort with blockchain-based transactions and wallet activity is a strong plus
Experience with Bill.com or comparable AP and expense management platforms
Experience supporting external audits and working directly with auditors
Highly organized and detail-oriented, comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy in a remote, fast-paced environment
Clear, proactive communicator who can work cross-functionally with the CFO, outside accountants, auditors, and vendors
Bonus: prior audit experience at a Big 4 or national accounting firm
