Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Backend to join a high-performing product engineering team. This is a hands-on role focused on designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable backend systems and services.
The ideal candidate will have strong backend engineering fundamentals, experience with microservices and APIs, and the ability to take ownership of features throughout the complete software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and applications.
Build and enhance microservices and APIs supporting business-critical platforms.
Translate business and technical requirements into practical, maintainable technical solutions.
Own features end-to-end, from technical design and development through testing and deployment.
Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-tested production-quality code.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
Collaborate with engineering team members on architecture, development, and delivery.
Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system reliability, scalability, and performance.
Work with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud-based deployment environments.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience.
Strong proficiency in Java or Python.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering fundamentals.
Hands-on experience designing and developing backend systems and microservices.
Experience developing and integrating APIs.
Experience working with distributed systems.
Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices.
Ability to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical designs.
Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, production-quality code.
Experience taking ownership of software features through the complete development lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning technologies.
Experience in FinTech or payment-related platforms.
Experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure.
Experience with Docker and modern deployment practices.
Familiarity with React or other frontend technologies.
Experience with large-scale or multi-tenant SaaS platforms.
