Data Analyst (DA)

We are working with a multinational financial services company specializing in online trading to recruit a Data Analyst to join their team in Bangkok, Thailand.

Key Responsibilities
Analyze business data covering deposits, withdrawals, trading volumes, customer behaviour, IB/partner activity, promotions, bonuses, and other commercial areas.
Identify anomalies, unusual trends, data discrepancies, and potential business risks, while investigating their root causes.
Reconcile data across CRM systems, trading platforms, internal ledgers, and other sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Build, maintain, and automate recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management and business teams.
Turn complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
Investigate business questions related to customer behaviour, churn, promotion performance, and operational or policy changes.
Identify opportunities for business growth and process improvement through data analysis.
Collaborate with IT and AI teams on data requirements, queries, and new datasets.
Document data sources, methodologies, assumptions, and findings to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
Continuously improve analytical processes and reduce reliance on manual reporting.
Requirements
2+ years of professional experience in Data Analysis.
Fluent English, both written and spoken.
Strong SQL skills, including multi-table joins, window functions, and working with large datasets.
Hands-on Python experience for data analysis using Pandas, Polars, or similar tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate anomalies and identify root causes.
Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights and recommendations.
Strong communication skills and confidence presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar solutions as part of analytical workflows.
Strong ownership mentality with the ability to independently take analytical tasks from question to conclusion.
Experience in Forex/CFD, brokerage, fintech, payments, or financial services is a strong advantage.
Nice to Have
Experience with financial reconciliation, dashboards, A/B testing, cohort analysis, or statistical analysis.
Knowledge of DuckDB, Polars, Grafana, Metabase, Looker Studio, or similar tools.
Experience working with trading, financial, customer, or commercial datasets.
