Job Summary:
The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for preparing, maintaining, and analyzing revenue cycle reports across multiple clients and facilities. This role supports operational decision-making by providing accurate reporting, identifying performance trends, monitoring billing and collections metrics, and delivering actionable insights to improve revenue cycle processes. The position focuses on revenue cycle reporting, data analysis, and performance monitoring rather than direct claims follow-up or accounts receivable activities.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and distribute recurring revenue cycle reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Collect, organize, analyze, and validate billing and financial data to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Monitor revenue cycle performance and identify trends, discrepancies, and areas requiring improvement.
• Analyze payer and facility performance across reporting periods.
• Ensure reports are accurate, complete, and delivered according to established schedules.
• Maintain standardized reporting processes across multiple clients and facilities.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on reporting findings.
• Develop new reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) based on organizational requirements.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis to support business needs.
• Support improvements and automation of revenue cycle reporting processes.
• Maintain reporting documentation and ensure consistency of reporting methodologies.
• Prepare and analyze revenue cycle reports covering AR, billing, collections, payer performance, denials, and reimbursement trends.
• Develop KPI dashboards, operational reports, and executive summaries to provide insights into revenue cycle performance.
• Monitor financial and operational metrics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Additional operational and financial reports as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, medical billing, reporting, data analysis, or related field.
• Experience in revenue cycle reporting and data analysis.
• Experience in behavioral health billing (PHP, IOP, OP, facility billing, or substance use disorder claims).
• Experience in Microsoft Excel, including working with large datasets and reporting functions.
• Experience supporting healthcare revenue cycle reporting and performance analysis.
• Experience with healthcare billing systems, EHRs, reporting platforms, or analytics tools preferred.
