About the Role
Zigron is seeking an AI Automation QA Engineer to design, build, and maintain intelligent test automation frameworks for enterprise ERP software, using AI/ML techniques to enhance test coverage, speed, and reliability. This role sits at the intersection of traditional QA engineering, ERP domain expertise, and applied AI. You'll be automating not just test execution, but test creation, maintenance, and analysis using AI-assisted tooling, including agentic AI approaches, across enterprise workflows like Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Work Orders, Vendor Bills, and Payments.
This position requires close, real-time collaboration with our Ukraine-based engineering team, our U.S.-based architect, and our ERP Product Owner in California — so the working hours are shifted to provide meaningful daily overlap with those teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement automated test frameworks (UI, API, regression, performance) for ERP and enterprise software modules, using AI-assisted or AI-augmented tools.
Integrate AI/ML-based test generation, self-healing test scripts, and anomaly detection into existing QA pipelines.
Explore and apply agentic AI approaches (autonomous test agents, AI-driven decision-making in test flows) to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
Test and validate core ERP workflows — Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Work Orders, Vendor Bills, Payments, and related financial/operational processes — for accuracy and data integrity.
Collaborate with developers to embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Analyze test results using AI-driven analytics to identify patterns, flaky tests, and coverage gaps.
Maintain and continuously improve test automation suites as the application evolves.
Write clear test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
Evaluate and prototype emerging AI-powered QA tools, including agentic frameworks, and recommend adoption where relevant.
Work closely with cross-functional, cross-timezone teams (Dev, Product, DevOps, and our Ukraine and U.S.-based colleagues) to ensure quality standards are met across releases.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
5–6+ years of experience in QA automation, including prior experience testing enterprise software or technology products.
Strong understanding of ERP concepts and workflows — Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, Work Orders, Vendor Bills, and Payments.
Strong hands-on experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar).
Programming/scripting proficiency (Python, JavaScript, or Java).
Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, etc.).
Hands-on knowledge of AI agentic approaches — building or working with autonomous/AI agents (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar agentic frameworks) and applying them to testing workflows.
Exposure to AI-powered testing tools (e.g., Testim, Mabl, Applitools, Functionize) or willingness to learn.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
Understanding of ML/AI fundamentals as applied to software testing (test generation, visual validation, self-healing locators).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be willing to work non-standard hours, starting the workday around 4:30–5:30 PM Pakistan time, to overlap with our Ukraine engineering team, U.S.-based architect, and California-based ERP Product Owner.
Must be based in Pakistan.
Preferred / Significant Advantage
Experience using NetSuite, Odoo, Acumatica, or another ERP system — candidates with hands-on ERP experience will be given preference, as they can ramp up and contribute more quickly.
Experience building or integrating LLM-based tools or AI agents into QA workflows.
Familiarity with version control (Git) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
