About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

About Us
Maharishi Foundation USA is the nonprofit organization that teaches the Transcendental Meditation (TM) technique across the United States through a national network of certified teachers and local centers. TM is a simple, effortless practice backed by decades of published research, and it is learned through personal instruction. We have a clear growth strategy, a new brand campaign launching this fall, a performance media agency, a new email nurture program, and a website being rebuilt for conversion. We’re looking for the person who connects all of it and turns it into more people learning TM every week.
The Role
The Growth Marketing Lead is the single internal owner of our marketing engine and is accountable for growth. You’ll start every day asking one question: how do we get more people into a TM course this week? Then you’ll use every lever available to make it happen: our agency partners, the brand team, the web team, teachers, centers, email, and partnerships.
This is a high-ownership role with direct access to leadership and a clear mandate to grow course enrollment and revenue. You’ll be measured on results.
What You’ll DoOwn growth and the numbers
Own the marketing dashboard: know what every number means, spot problems early, and bring solutions
Set and deliver weekly and monthly targets for leads, intro talk registrations, course bookings and new instructions
Manage cost per lead, cost per intro and cost per instruction, and improve conversion at each stage of the funnel
Drive execution across the full funnel
Performance marketing: Partner with our growth agency to keep a steady flow of new ad creative and landing pages in market. Approve fast, test fast, and feed results into what gets made next.
Brand and campaign: Serve as the day-to-day link between the brand campaign and every channel, so assets reach performance, email, web and centers in usable form and on time.
Lifecycle: Own email and SMS nurture performance, tracking open, click and intro registration rates and pushing continuous improvement.
Web: Partner with the web team on landing pages, lead capture and conversion testing, and be the internal decision-maker who can approve a page the same day.
Community and local: Build campaigns our teachers and centers can easily run, with ready-to-use materials, scripts and re-engagement programs for past leads.
Partnerships: Develop relationships with creators, podcasters, practitioners and organizations who can introduce TM to new audiences, including collaborative content and referral programs.
Be the connective tissue
Act as the single point of contact for agency and consultant partners, so everyone knows where to send work and get answers
Give leadership a short, regular update: what shipped, what the numbers did, what’s next and what’s blocked
Scope and prioritize all incoming offers of outside help, paid or volunteer, before they take up team time
Maintain one shared home for briefs, brand guidelines, assets and project status
Keep the creative pipeline full
Make sure the media team never runs short of assets: review photo and video libraries, brief quick-turn creative, and manage licensing and approvals
Adapt brand campaign work into performance-ready formats and variations
Apply brand guidelines across every touchpoint so fast-moving creative stays on-brand and the funnel reads as one experience
What Success Looks Like
Course enrollments trend upward within your first two quarters
New ad creative and landing pages go into market every month
Leadership stays informed without having to ask
Agency, brand and web partners get what they need from us faster than before
Outside partners are coordinated through one person, and side projects are scoped before they take up team time
QualificationsRequired
5+ years of experience in growth, performance or integrated marketing, including 3+ years leading programs end to end
A track record of growing a consumer brand with a considered purchase and a multi-step sales funnel (for example education, wellness, fitness, travel, subscription or premium services)
Hands-on experience across several channels: paid social and search, email/SMS lifecycle, web conversion and partnerships
Experience working in-house, not only at an agency, including managing agencies and outside partners as the client
Strong analytical skills: comfortable owning a dashboard, reading funnel and cost metrics, and explaining them clearly to non-marketers
Commercial mindset: you connect marketing work directly to revenue
Excellent written communication: you can write a creative brief, ad copy and a leadership update with equal skill
Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight and bring leadership along on decisions
Preferred
Experience growing a premium or lifestyle brand, or in a turnaround or rapid-growth setting
Familiarity with A/B testing tools, marketing automation platforms, GA4 and CRM systems (e.g., NetSuite)
Experience building creator, influencer, podcast or referral partnership programs
Experience enabling local or field teams (franchises, studios, chapters, retail locations) with marketing
Experience in mission-driven or nonprofit organizations
Not required
Experience with Transcendental Meditation, meditation or the wellness category. Curiosity about the practice and respect for our teaching community are expected.
Who Thrives Here
A growth generalist, not a single-channel specialist: you think across the whole funnel
Hands-on: you can review 300 photos, draft an ad, set up a test and call a partner in the same day
A self-starter who enjoys being the marketing expert in the room
Ownership-driven: you want a real problem to solve and results you can point to
This is not a brand-strategy-only role or a single-channel manager role. The strategy is in place, and this person makes it happen.
Working Arrangement
Remote, US-based. Must be able to work across US time zones.
Possible periodic travel to Fairfield, Iowa (TBD)
Works closely with the operations lead, teachers and regional centers, and directs the work of our performance agency and brand consultants
Supported by junior or contract execution support
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: [range $65k+], plus a performance bonus tied to enrollment and revenue targets. Staff also receive TM course if applicable
How to Apply
Send your resume and a short note about a funnel you grew, including what you changed and what the numbers did, to efitzrandolph@TM.org. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
