Regional Manager Site Design (Location Varies)

Job Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
This position may be based in Atlanta, GA, Nashville, TN, Charlotte, NC, Birmingham, AL, or Jacksonville, FL. This role manages a portfolio of projects within assigned territory for current rail customers which are looking to expand their rail operations or existing non-rail customers who wish to establish rail service. Provides conceptual engineering and technical support for projects, such as new customer facilities or industrial parks managed by Managers of Regional Development in territory. Maintains relationships with CSX Engineering to ensure timely and cost effective execution of industrial projects in territory.
Primary Activities And Responsibilities
Manage plan review and implementation of previously announced industry projects.
Provide operational and design expertise to industries looking to expand or connect to CSX.
Provide Concept Engineering for Manager Regional Development projects locating on CSX.
Provide Concept Engineering for development of Rail Served Sites and Industrial Parks within territory.
Initiate Lease Track requests on assigned territory.
Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Construction/Project Management
3 or more years of experience in Track Design
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate Degree
Professional Engineer (PE)
Knowledge And Skills
Knowledge of civil engineering including design, estimating and construction of track
Knowledge of switching and line of road train operations
Negotiating skills
Knowledge of car types and commodities that move in them
Computer aided design (CAD) skills (preferably MicroStation)
Project management skills

This role offers an annual salary range based on experience and qualifications. In addition to base salary we provide an annual bonus opportunity.
