Role Description The Garment Industrial Engineer will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in the apparel manufacturing facility. This full-time, on-site role is based in Erode and involves conducting time and motion studies, line balancing, and capacity planning for various garment styles and production lines. The role includes developing standard operating procedures, setting production targets, and collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and maintenance teams to implement process improvements. The Garment Industrial Engineer will also support new product introductions, evaluate machinery and layout changes, and prepare reports and documentation to track performance and drive continuous improvement across the factory operations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering skills relevant to garment production environments.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills for data-driven decision-making, time and motion analysis, and productivity measurement.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for coordinating with production teams, management, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Candidates should possess Process Improvement capabilities, including experience with line balancing, workflow optimization, and lean or continuous improvement methods.
Degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Textile Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Experience in garment or textile manufacturing, familiarity with sewing operations, layouts, and work aids is beneficial.
Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant software tools for data analysis and reporting is an advantage.
Ability to work on-site in Erode, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate in a fast-paced production environment.
