Role Description The Supply Chain Manager role at NFI is a part-time, remote position responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain activities to support operational efficiency and customer service goals. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring demand and supply plans, managing inventory levels across multiple locations, and coordinating procurement activities with internal teams and external suppliers. The role involves analyzing data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommending adjustments to planning, sourcing, and replenishment strategies. The Supply Chain Manager will collaborate with transportation, warehousing, and logistics stakeholders to ensure timely, cost-effective movement of goods and alignment with service-level agreements. This position also includes preparing performance reports, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications
Strong demand planning and forecasting skills, with the ability to align supply plans to customer and business requirements.
Advanced analytical skills for interpreting data, building reports, and making data-informed decisions in a complex supply chain environment.
Experience with supply management and coordination of logistics operations, ensuring continuity of supply and service.
Proficiency in inventory management practices, including setting targets, managing stock levels, and reducing excess or obsolete inventory.
Knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and cost optimization in sourcing materials and services.
Familiarity with supply chain software and ERP systems; strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work cross-functionally in a remote setting and build productive relationships with stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CPSM) are a plus.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
