Role Description The Import Documentation Executive role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and managing all import-related documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates as required. The executive will coordinate with suppliers, shipping lines, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant import shipments. Daily tasks include tracking shipment status, maintaining accurate records, updating internal systems, and resolving documentation discrepancies. The role also involves ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, assisting in audits, and supporting continuous improvement of documentation processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Documentation and Document Management.
Candidates should possess relevant expertise in Import and Export Documentation processes.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates should possess attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in data entry.
Candidates should possess working knowledge of MS Office and basic familiarity with ERP or logistics systems.
Candidates should possess an understanding of customs procedures, incoterms, and international trade regulations (preferred).
Candidates should possess a diploma or degree in Commerce, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.
Candidates should possess the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
