Role Description The School Principal role at Dronacharya Defence Academy is a full-time, on-site position based in Maharashtra, India. The Principal will oversee day-to-day academic and administrative operations, including supervising teaching staff, ensuring effective classroom management, and maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment. This role involves leading curriculum planning and implementation, monitoring student performance, and aligning school programs with the Academy’s defence-oriented objectives and educational standards. The Principal will collaborate with faculty, families, and external stakeholders, manage school policies and compliance, and drive initiatives that support student development and institutional growth. The position requires active participation in strategic planning, staff development, and continuous improvement of school processes.
Qualifications
Strong educational leadership skills, with demonstrated experience in school administration and team management.
Proficiency in curriculum development and instructional planning, particularly for middle school and related grade levels.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, families, and external partners.
Solid understanding of education systems, pedagogy, and assessment practices, with a focus on student-centered learning.
Relevant teaching or leadership experience in a school setting; experience in defence-focused or competitive exam preparation environments is an advantage.
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, along with appropriate educational leadership or administrative certifications (where applicable).
Ability to foster an inclusive, non-discriminatory school culture that promotes discipline, ethics, and holistic development.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with capacity to handle multiple priorities and responsibilities on-site.
