Remote Senior Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

About the Role
We’re looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our engineering team. You’ll be responsible for building and improving web applications, developing new features, and working with AI-related technologies where relevant.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain web services using Ruby on Rails
Build and integrate REST APIs and third-party services
Work with relational databases and optimize queries
Develop and integrate AI-powered features into web applications
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
Troubleshoot bugs and production issues
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to deliver features
Requirements
5+ years of experience developing and maintaining web services using Ruby on Rails
Strong knowledge of Ruby, Rails, REST APIs, and relational databases
Experience with Git and automated testing
Experience or interest in working with AI technologies / AI-powered applications
Good problem-solving and debugging skills
Good English communication skills, both written and spoken
Ability to work independently and collaborate with an international team
Nice to Have
Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, or AI APIs
Experience integrating AI features into web applications
Experience with React/Vue.js
Experience with AWS, Docker, or CI/CD
Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, or similar technologies
