Human Resources Intern
You're Not Joining an HR Department. You're Building One.
Dutient.ai is a compliance technology company at the intersection of data privacy, AI governance, and cybersecurity. We help enterprises navigate DPDPA, GDPR, and complex GRC frameworks through consulting and AI-native products.
We're a small, fast-moving team and our HR function is being built from scratch, right now. We've already developed internal HR tooling in-house and we're improving it every week.
If you want to spend three months filing paperwork, this isn't the role. If you want to help architect how a compliance-first tech company runs its people operations, read on.
What You'll Own
Build and improve hiring pipelines: job postings, candidate tracking, interview coordination, offer rollouts
Work directly with our in-house HR tools, flag gaps, and contribute to their improvement
Create and maintain SOPs, onboarding flows, and people ops documentation
Set up and manage structured tracking for interns, contractors, and full-time hires
Drive internal HR communication and help us define the culture playbook as we scale
Collaborate with founders on org design, team needs, and people strategy
Technical Skills We're Looking For
Comfortable with spreadsheets and data: Google Sheets, Excel, basic formulas and trackers
Familiarity with HRMS/ATS tools (Keka, Zoho People, Darwinbox, Greenhouse, or similar)
Ability to pick up internal tools quickly -- we've built our own and expect you to use and critique them
Basic understanding of employment documentation, contracts, and compliance paperwork
Good with automation basics: Zapier, Google Forms + Sheets pipelines, or similar no-code workflows is a strong plus
Comfortable navigating Google Workspace day to day
What We're Looking For
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
Someone who thinks in systems, not just tasks
Strong written English and the ability to communicate clearly with senior stakeholders
High ownership, low hand-holding required
Genuine curiosity about how early-stage companies run
Nice to Have
Prior experience in HR, recruitment, or operations at a startup
Interest in compliance, legal, or tech industries
Exposure to basic data analysis or reporting
What's in It for You
Stipend (competitive, discussed at offer stage)
Direct founding team access - you'll work with and learn from people who've built and scaled B2B products
You'll lead a functioning HR system you helped build, not just a certificate
Letter of recommendation on successful completion
A real shot at a full-time role if you're exceptional
