Role description
We are looking for an Immigration Paralegal to help turn our clients’ professional achievements into well-documented, compelling immigration petitions.
Working closely with our attorneys and operations team, you will support case preparation from document review through final petition assembly, ensuring each case is accurate, consistent, and ready for attorney review on schedule.
This role requires excellent English writing skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment. All substantive legal work will be performed under attorney supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Evidence Review and Organization: Review client documents, identify missing information or inconsistencies, and organize supporting evidence according to the attorney-defined case strategy.
Drafting: Prepare drafts of petition support letters, recommendation letters, professional background summaries, and other supporting materials for attorney review.
Research: Conduct factual and legal research under attorney direction to support case development and document clients’ achievements.
Petition Assembly and Quality Control: Compile exhibits, prepare indexes, and cross-check names, dates, citations, translations, and supporting documents before final attorney review.
Deadline Management: Track drafting milestones, filing deadlines, and attorney review cycles across multiple active cases.
Post-Filing Support: Assist attorneys with responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and other case-related requests.
Process Improvement: Help improve templates, checklists, and workflows, using technology and AI tools responsibly while protecting confidential information and verifying outputs.
Qualifications
Relevant Experience: Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant.
Advanced/Fluent English: Excellent written English and the ability to communicate clearly with international clients and team members are essential.
Writing and Research Skills: Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, accurate, and well-supported drafts.
Attention to Detail: Ability to identify inconsistencies across forms, supporting documents, and written narratives.
Case Management: Experience handling multiple matters, maintaining organized records, and meeting deadlines.
Technology Proficiency: Comfortable working with document management systems, collaborative tools, and AI-assisted workflows.
Education: A degree in Law, paralegal training, or a related field is a plus.
The Ideal Profile
Organized and Accountable: You take ownership of deliverables, keep case files structured, and flag risks before they affect deadlines.
Analytical: You connect evidence to the case strategy and recognize when additional documentation or attorney guidance is needed.
A Strong Writer: You produce clear, precise drafts grounded in the client’s records.
Collaborative: You work effectively with attorneys and operations colleagues and incorporate feedback quickly.
Proactive: You anticipate next steps and move cases forward with appropriate supervision.
Discreet and Professional: You handle sensitive personal and business information with care.
