Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing all financial operations of CareFirst Urgent Care. The CFO will manage financial planning and budgeting processes, monitor cash flow, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, analyzing key performance indicators, and providing data-driven recommendations to senior leadership to support strategic decisions. The CFO will establish and maintain internal controls, oversee compliance with relevant regulations, and coordinate audit activities. This role also collaborates with operational leaders to align financial strategies with clinic performance and long-term growth objectives.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Finance, including experience leading financial operations and strategy in a healthcare or multi-location service environment.
Demonstrated expertise in Financial Planning and budgeting, with the ability to develop forecasts and long-range financial models.
Proficiency in preparing and interpreting Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for internal stakeholders and external partners.
Advanced Analytical Skills to evaluate financial data, identify trends, and support data-informed decision-making.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
Experience with financial systems, ERP tools, and spreadsheet modeling; strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proven leadership ability, including managing remote teams, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, and driving process improvement.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
