Head of Distribution — Masai Mara safari camp (Delhi-based)

Ilora Retreats is a fourteen-suite tented camp inside the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya, with a second property opening in Tanzania in 2027.
We're looking for one person to own how Ilora is sold online and to the international travel trade — and to be judged on what that produces.
This is not a role that executes someone else's plan. There isn't one yet. You would write it, run it, and answer for the numbers.
You would own: our presence across every booking and listing platform — channel manager, extranets, pricing execution, parity, content, reviews. And the international trade pipeline, built from a standing start.
Measured on: revenue by channel, direct booking share, new partners activated, qualified meetings created, and cost of distribution. Reported monthly to the founder.
Required
5+ years in hospitality distribution, DMC or hotel sales, or with an OTA — at least two owning the strategy, not executing it
Experience approaching tour operators and DMCs in Europe, North America or the Gulf who have never heard of you. Please don't apply without this.
Built a market from nothing, rather than inherited an agent list
Carried a revenue number
Hands-on channel manager and OTA extranet experience
Rate and yield literacy — able to argue a pricing decision and show the arithmetic
Professional written English. You'd correspond with senior trade contacts in London and New York without anyone checking your drafts.
This is a desk-based role. You open the doors; our Sales Director and founder take the meetings and close.
You'd report to the founder, who travels for much of the year. There is no distribution team above you.
South Delhi-Jasola based, full-time. One familiarisation visit to camp in your first six months.
