AI Engineer Intern

Cogrion is building an Autonomous Data & AI Infrastructure Platform. We are looking for an AI Engineer Intern who is interested in Generative AI, LLMs, agentic workflows and building practical AI capabilities for data, developer and platform use cases.
What You'll Work On
· Build and test LLM-powered features and AI assistants.
· Work on prompt engineering, prompt optimization and token efficiency.
· Experiment with RAG, embeddings and enterprise context retrieval.
· Assist in building agentic AI workflows and tool-using agents.
· Contribute to Data Engineering, Data Science, L1/L2 support and code agents.
· Support LLM evaluation, LLM-as-a-Judge and Jury-style evaluation workflows.
· Measure output quality, latency, token usage and cost.
· Integrate AI services with APIs, databases and platform tools.
What We're Looking For
· Strong Python fundamentals.
· Basic understanding of machine learning and Generative AI concepts.
· Hands-on exposure to LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral or similar.
· Understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings and RAG basics.
· Interest in agentic AI, tool calling and autonomous workflows.
· Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Willingness to relocate to Coimbatore.
Good to Have
· LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI or similar frameworks.
· Vector databases and semantic search.
· FastAPI, Docker or cloud platforms.
· Experience building an AI chatbot, RAG application or agent as a project.
