Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Application Engineer – Sales role based in Bengaluru. The Application Engineer – Sales will work closely with customers to understand technical requirements, propose suitable product solutions, and support the sales process from initial inquiry to order closure. Daily responsibilities include preparing technical and commercial proposals, conducting product demonstrations, responding to technical queries, and coordinating with internal engineering and production teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery. The role also involves providing post-sales technical support, maintaining strong customer relationships, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. The individual will be expected to document customer feedback, assist in market research, and contribute to continuous improvement of solutions and sales tools.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and Sales skills, including solution selling and customer relationship management.
Candidates should possess Technical Support skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and provide clear technical guidance to customers.
Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering knowledge relevant to industrial manufacturing applications.
Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering knowledge, including understanding of industrial components and systems.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, business-friendly language.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in industrial or manufacturing sectors, especially in customer-facing technical roles, is an advantage.
Proficiency in basic office and productivity tools, and readiness to visit customer sites as needed.
