Rural Health Group is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Fellowed General Practitioners interested in delivering telephone and video-based telehealth services to patients across our rural and regional communities.

Rural Health Group manages 13 General Practices and Mental Health Services throughout Queensland. ABOUT THE ROLE
This fully remote opportunity allows doctors to work from anywhere in Australia while maintaining flexibility around their preferred working hours and existing commitments. Sessions can be undertaken during weekdays and/or weekends, making this an ideal opportunity for practitioners seeking additional flexible work, improved work-life balance, or a greater focus on telehealth practice.
As part of our telehealth model, you will provide high-quality, patient-centred care through telephone and video consultations across a broad range of general practice presentations, including:
General primary care consultations
Repeat prescriptions and medication management
Referrals
Medical certificates
Mental health care plans
Chronic disease management and follow-up care
Preventative health consultations and health education
Review of pathology and diagnostic results
Care coordination and ongoing patient management
You will be supported by an experienced administrative and operational team, allowing you to focus on delivering safe, ethical, and patient-centred care within a professional telehealth environment.

We are seeking Fellowed General Practitioners who are committed to delivering safe, high-quality, and patient-centred care through a flexible telehealth model.
The ideal candidates will be:
Comfortable working within telehealth and digital healthcare platforms
Warm, professional, and patient-focused
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Strong communicators with a collaborative and adaptable approach
Committed to ethical, compliant, and evidence-based healthcare delivery
Passionate about preventative healthcare, patient education, and continuity of care
Able to work independently while contributing positively within a broader healthcare team
Requirements:
To be considered for the opportunity, applicants must:
Hold current AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner without restrictions
Be a Fellowed GP (FRACGP or FACRRM)
Be currently based in Australia
Hold unrestricted Australian working rights
Be eligible to independently provide telehealth services within Australia
