Role: Oracle Financials Solution Architect

1. Role Overview
The Senior Principal Consultant will serve as a Solution Architect for Oracle Financials and Project Portfolio Management (PPM), with strong hands-on functional experience across Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and Oracle E-Business Suite.
The role requires proven experience in solution architecture, delivery ownership, direct client interaction, stakeholder communication, and complex problem solving across large-scale global Oracle ERP programs.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Solution Architecture
Lead end-to-end Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and Oracle EBS implementations, rollouts, upgrades, and transformation programs across Financials and PPM modules
Own solution architecture, functional design, delivery planning, and execution governance aligned with enterprise standards and client objectives
Act as a Functional Solution Architect and trusted client-facing SME for complex business scenarios
Ensure delivery of scalable, secure, high-performance, and business-aligned Oracle ERP solutions with clear ownership of outcomes
B. Client Engagement & Consulting
Engage with global clients to:
Gather and analyse business requirements
Conduct workshops, CRPs, and design sessions
Translate business needs into functional and technical solution designs
Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders
Present solution architecture, proposals, and roadmap to leadership teams
C. Implementation & Delivery Governance
Own lifecycle activities:
Requirement gathering → Design → Build → Test (SIT/UAT) → Go-Live → Support
Lead:
Data migration and reconciliation
RICEW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows) design
Ensure adherence to:
Project timelines
Quality standards
Risk mitigation and issue resolution
D. Complex Problem Solving
Resolve:
Complex accounting and project accounting challenges
Integration and data inconsistencies
Provide innovative solutions leveraging:
Standard EBS capabilities
Custom extensions where required
Lead root cause analysis for critical production issues
E. Team Leadership & Mentoring
Lead and mentor functional consultants and cross-functional teams
Provide guidance on:
Best practices
Solution design standards
Drive knowledge sharing across teams
Client Interaction, Communication & Consulting Skills
Excellent:
Direct client interaction experience with business users, IT teams, senior stakeholders, and program leadership
Very good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex Oracle Financials and PPM solutions clearly
Strong presentation, workshop facilitation, requirement clarification, and stakeholder management capabilities
Experience working with global clients, onsite-offshore delivery models, and preferably prior onsite client-facing experience
Problem Solving, Analytical Thinking & Delivery Leadership
Ability to:
Analyse complex, ambiguous business problems across Oracle Financials and PPM and convert them into practical solution options
Demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills in high-pressure delivery environments
Lead issue resolution, design trade-off discussions, risk mitigation, and cross-functional alignment with client and delivery teams
