About us
We are a UK-based e-commerce, distribution and third-party logistics company supporting brands and national retailers with fulfilment, warehousing, distribution and integrated supply-chain services.
Alongside our operational and fulfilment activities, we manage a growing range of e-commerce products across online retail and marketplace channels. High-quality product content and imagery are an important part of how we present products, support our buying teams and create consistent brand experiences across multiple online channels.
As we continue to expand our product range and the number of brands we work with, we are looking for a talented E-commerce AI Image & Creative Specialist based in India to join our remote team.
This role is particularly suited to someone who understands that good e-commerce imagery is not simply about making an image look attractive. Product scale, proportions, lighting, shadows, materials, packaging, colour accuracy and brand consistency all need to look believable and commercially appropriate.
Role overview
You will be responsible for creating, editing and improving product imagery for our e-commerce and distribution operations.
The role will involve working from existing product photographs, brand assets and creative instructions to produce professional e-commerce images, including:
Retouching and enhancing existing product images.
Creating bundle and multi-product images from individual product photographs.
Creating realistic lifestyle and contextual product images using AI and image-editing techniques.
Removing, replacing or improving backgrounds.
Creating image variations for different products, marketplaces and sales channels.
Improving lighting, colour, reflections, shadows and overall presentation.
Ensuring products remain realistic in terms of scale, proportions and physical positioning.
Following individual brand guidelines so that the finished creative looks appropriate to that brand.
Working from instructions and briefs provided by the buying and graphics teams.
Reviewing your own work carefully and correcting inconsistencies before delivery.
Maintaining consistency across large groups of products and image sets.
You will work closely with the Buying Team and the team responsible for graphics and creative production, taking briefs and turning them into finished, commercially usable images.
Key responsibilities
Product image retouching
Professionally retouch product photographs while preserving the true appearance of the product.
Remove dust, marks, unwanted objects and photography imperfections.
Correct exposure, colour, contrast and white balance where appropriate.
Improve edges, shadows, reflections and product presentation.
Maintain accurate colours and product details.
Prepare high-quality images suitable for e-commerce use.
Bundle and multi-product imagery
Combine individual product photographs into realistic bundle, set and collection images.
Ensure products have believable relative scale and positioning.
Match perspective, lighting and shadows between separate source images.
Produce clean and commercially attractive compositions without making the products look artificially assembled.
AI-generated lifestyle imagery
Use AI image-generation and compositing tools to create realistic lifestyle scenes around products.
Place products into appropriate environments while preserving their real shape, design, packaging and proportions.
Generate realistic backgrounds, settings, props and environmental details.
Correct AI-generated errors and artefacts using Photoshop or equivalent tools.
Understand when AI should be used and when traditional editing is the better solution.
Brand consistency
Follow different creative guidelines for different brands.
Adapt composition, colours, backgrounds, typography, styling and overall visual direction to suit each brand.
Understand that the same creative approach will not necessarily work for every brand.
Maintain consistency across a product range.
Quality control
Check all final images for inaccurate proportions, distorted products, incorrect packaging, strange shadows, unrealistic reflections, poor masking and AI artefacts.
Ensure generated imagery does not unintentionally alter the product.
Follow file naming, folder structure, sizing and delivery instructions.
Manage multiple products and deadlines efficiently.
Essential skills & experience
We are looking for someone with demonstrable professional experience in e-commerce image production, product retouching and AI-assisted creative work.
You should have:
Strong experience with Adobe Photoshop or an equivalent professional image-editing application.
Practical experience using AI image-generation or AI-assisted image-editing tools.
Experience creating or editing e-commerce product images.
Experience creating realistic product composites, lifestyle scenes or product placements.
A strong understanding of lighting, perspective, scale, proportions, shadows and reflections.
Excellent masking, compositing and retouching skills.
A very good eye for detail and visual consistency.
The ability to preserve the real appearance of a product while editing or enhancing an image.
The ability to follow detailed instructions and brand guidelines accurately.
The ability to work independently from a remote environment.
Good written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong organisation and the ability to handle multiple products and deadlines.
Particularly important
The successful candidate must understand the difference between an image that simply looks good and an image that actually looks believable.
For example, products must not appear too large or too small for their environment, objects must have believable perspective, shadows must fall correctly, materials must behave realistically, and AI-generated elements must not make the product look distorted or artificial.
Desirable skills & experience
The following would be advantageous:
Experience working for an e-commerce retailer, distributor, marketplace seller, agency or consumer brand.
Experience working with Amazon, Shopify or other e-commerce marketplaces.
Experience working with multiple brands and different brand guidelines.
Experience producing product imagery for Amazon A+ Content, enhanced content, websites, marketplaces or digital advertising.
Experience with tools such as Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, Flux, Stable Diffusion or other AI image-generation platforms.
Experience using AI for image expansion, generative fill, background replacement and product compositing.
Experience with photography or commercial product photography.
Basic understanding of typography and graphic design.
Experience creating image templates or repeatable workflows for large product catalogues.
Experience working with consumer products such as kitchenware, homeware, garden, lifestyle or similar retail categories.
What we are looking for
Detail-oriented: You notice small inconsistencies in scale, lighting, shadows, edges and product presentation.
Creative but commercially minded: You can produce attractive imagery without losing sight of the actual product or the brand.
Technically capable: You are confident combining traditional image editing with modern AI tools.
Instruction-led: You can take a brief from the buying or graphics team and reproduce the required style accurately.
Brand-conscious: You understand that different brands require different visual treatments.
Quality-focused: You are comfortable reviewing your own work and correcting mistakes before delivery.
Reliable and organised: You can work remotely, manage your workload and deliver work consistently to deadlines.
Compensation & benefits
Salary: Competitive and based on experience, technical ability and portfolio quality.
Annual leave: 20 paid days per year.
Working arrangement: Fully remote, working as part of a UK-based team.
You will work closely with colleagues in the UK, so the role requires availability during agreed working hours to allow effective collaboration with the buying and graphics teams.
