Role Description The Lift Engineer will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing lift and elevator systems in accordance with technical standards and safety regulations. Day-to-day activities include performing routine checks, diagnosing faults, replacing parts, and documenting all work completed for compliance and reporting purposes. The role also involves coordinating with clients, facility teams, and internal stakeholders to schedule work, explain technical issues in clear terms, and ensure lifts remain reliable and safe for users. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru, requiring regular presence at client locations and institutional facilities. The Lift Engineer will also support training initiatives, share technical insights, and contribute to continuous improvement of vertical transportation practices.
Qualifications
Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with lifting equipment, elevators, and related control systems.
Demonstrated ability in maintenance & repair, including fault diagnosis, preventive servicing, and component replacement.
Sound understanding of health & safety standards, regulatory requirements, and safe working practices in vertical transportation.
Effective communication and customer service skills to interact with clients, learners, and cross-functional teams in a professional manner.
Relevant technical diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, or elevator engineering, or a closely related field.
Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and readiness to work on-site in varied building environments.
Prior experience in lift engineering, elevator installation, or service roles is highly beneficial.
Willingness to keep skills current through training, industry updates, and adherence to emerging technologies and standards.
