Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to own the end-to-end technical execution and platform delivery of our fleet management and mobility platform. In this role, you will lead a cross-functional engineering team, architect scalable cloud-native microservices, and partner directly with executive leadership to translate product strategy into resilient, enterprise-grade software. Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & System Architecture :
Platform Delivery: Lead the end-to-end delivery of scalable, high-availability Fleet Management platforms across web and mobile ecosystems.
Cloud & Micro services: Architect and maintain cloud-native microservices on AWS, ensuring high uptime, fault tolerance, and system performance.
IoT & Telematics: Oversee real-time data ingestion pipelines, processing continuous telemetry stream data from connected hardware/devices with minimal latency.
Observability & Reliability: Establish robust platform observability, performance monitoring, and automated incident response frameworks to maximize system reliability.
Team Leadership & Engineering Operations:
People Management: Direct, mentor, and grow a cross-functional engineering team
Engineering Execution: Define and drive engineering execution discipline—agile ceremonies, structured code/design reviews, release planning, and CI/CD automation.
Resource & Capacity Planning: Manage engineering workloads, Sprint capacity, and delivery roadmaps to ensure high velocity without compromising software quality.
Executive Collaboration: Partner directly with the CEO, Founders, and Product Leadership to align technical execution with overarching business objectives.
Cross-Functional Synergy: Coordinate priorities across Product, Operations, and Telematics teams to streamline integrations and go-to-market timelines.
Executive Reporting: Provide transparent updates on platform health, delivery velocity, operational risks, and technical debt reduction.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience: 7–8 years of overall software development experience, with at least 2–3 years in an engineering management or technical leadership role.
Technical Depth: Hands-on experience architecting and deploying distributed microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures on AWS.
Tech Stack Familiarity: Strong foundation in modern backend technologies (Python) cloud databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, RDS or Aurora), and message brokers (RabbitMQ/Kafka) and Frontend (ReactJS NextJS and ReactNative)
DevOps & Data Pipelines: Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD
pipelines, and handling high-volume/IoT streaming data.
Mindset: High-agency, roll-up-your-sleeves problem solver comfortable working in fast-paced, high-growth startup or product environments.
Education: BE or B.Tech
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in Mobility, Telematics, IoT, or Logistics/Supply Chain SaaS platforms.
Proven track record of scaling platforms from mid-stage infrastructure to enterprise-grade web scale.
Exposure to AI/ML integrations, MLOps, or automated predictive analytics.
Interview Process:
Shortlisted candidates will be assessed through four rounds of interviews: People & Culture, Technical Assessment & Discussion, Product Manager, and Co-Founder's discussion.
