Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fashion Designer role based in Mumbai. The Fashion Designer will conceptualize and develop seasonal collections aligned with brand and client requirements, translating trends and market insights into commercially viable designs. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating sketches and technical drawings, selecting fabrics and trims, and collaborating with pattern makers and the production team to ensure accurate fitting and high-quality finishing. The role involves working closely with merchandising and sampling teams to refine designs, attending fittings, and making adjustments based on feedback. The Fashion Designer will also support product development for key categories such as tops, bottoms, dresses, loungewear, and hoodies, ensuring consistency in style, quality, and brand identity.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Fashion Design and Fashion, with the ability to create original, commercially appealing concepts.
Proficiency in working with Textiles, including fabric selection, properties, and suitability for different garment types.
Experience in Embroidery and decorative techniques, with attention to detail and quality of embellishments.
Practical skills in Fitting, including working with samples, understanding garment construction, and refining fit and silhouette.
Relevant qualification in Fashion Design, Textiles, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Ability to use design tools and software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CAD programs) for sketches and technical packs.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with production, merchandising, and quality teams.
Knowledge of current fashion trends, high street retail requirements, and fast-paced manufacturing environments.
Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple design projects simultaneously.
