Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Academic Counselor role based in Bengaluru, India. The Academic Counselor will guide students and families in understanding BrightCHAMPS programs, aligning course selections with learners’ academic goals, interests, and future aspirations. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, explaining curricula and learning pathways, addressing queries from parents and students, and providing support throughout the enrollment process. The role also involves monitoring student progress, coordinating with teaching and operations teams, and sharing feedback to improve learning outcomes and student satisfaction. The Academic Counselor will maintain accurate records, participate in training sessions, and contribute to an encouraging, learner-centric environment.
Qualifications
Strong student counseling and academic advising skills, with the ability to support learners in setting and achieving educational goals.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and internal teams in a clear, empathetic manner.
Career counseling and education-related skills to help students understand future pathways and how BrightCHAMPS programs support them.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; fresh graduates or early-career professionals are encouraged to apply.
Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, manage multiple student interactions, and maintain organized documentation.
Comfort with technology-based learning platforms and basic MS Office or equivalent tools.
Strong problem-solving attitude, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting children’s holistic development.
Prior internship or project experience in counseling, teaching, or student support is an advantage but not mandatory.
