Team Lead-General Chemical Analysis

Role Description At Geochem Laboratories, we are looking for a dynamic and technically competent Team Lead – General Chemical Analysis to join our growing laboratory operations team at our Aroor facility.

Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or master’s degree in chemistry, Food Science, Food Technology, Analytical Chemistry, or related disciplines.
Minimum 5 years of laboratory experience in food testing.
Strong hands-on experience in:
o Nutritional Analysis
o General Chemical Analysis of Foods
o Analytical laboratory operations
Thorough understanding of:
o ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
o NABL accreditation processes
o Method validation and measurement quality control
Experience in handling multiple NABL assessments and regulatory audits.
Preferred Skills
Leadership and people management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Effective communication and training capabilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities·
Lead and manage a team of approximately 6 laboratory professionals engaged in food testing activities.
Plan, assign, and monitor daily analytical activities to ensure timely completion of testing and reporting.
Ensure adherence to committed Turnaround Time (TAT) and maintain operational efficiency within the section.
Perform and oversee nutritional analysis and general chemical analysis of food products in compliance with established methods and quality requirements.
Ensure full compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, NABL guidelines, laboratory quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate method validations, quality control programs, investigations, corrective actions, and continual improvement initiatives.
Conduct technical reviews of analytical data and ensure accuracy and integrity of test results.
Develop team competency through regular training, mentoring, and performance monitoring.
Participate in customer audits, NABL assessments, internal audits, and management reviews.
Support resource planning, equipment management, and laboratory capacity optimization.
