Junior Consultant Cardiology

Role Description:
The Junior Consultant Cardiology will support the cardiology team in delivering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiac care in a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. Responsibilities include assessing patients with cardiovascular conditions, conducting detailed clinical evaluations, interpreting diagnostic tests, and assisting in the management of acute and chronic cardiac disorders. The role involves active participation in cardiac emergency care, including prompt response to cardiac emergencies and coordination with emergency medicine teams. The Junior Consultant will collaborate closely with senior cardiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams, contribute to clinical case discussions, and participate in ongoing training and academic activities. The position also entails maintaining accurate medical records, adhering to clinical protocols, and supporting quality and safety initiatives within the cardiology department.
Qualifications
Possession of a recognized medical qualification (MBBS) along with a postgraduate degree in MD (Medicine) and/or super-specialty qualification in DM/DrNB (Cardiology), as applicable, in accordance with the prevailing regulatory requirements.
Clinical expertise in Medicine and Cardiology, with the ability to assess, diagnose, and manage common cardiovascular conditions.
Experience working with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated, patient-centered cardiac care.
Skills in Emergency Medicine, including participation in cardiac emergencies and high-acuity patient management.
Commitment to Training and continuous professional development, including involvement in teaching, case discussions, and clinical updates.
Valid medical registration and eligibility to practice in India.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills, with attention to patient safety and ethical medical practice.
Previous experience in a tertiary care or super specialty hospital setting is an advantage.
