Role Description The Junior Structural Engineer will support the design and analysis of structural systems for a variety of building and infrastructure projects. In this full-time remote role, the individual will assist senior engineers with structural calculations, modeling, and documentation, while preparing technical drawings and reports under supervision. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing structural analysis, reviewing design details for accuracy, coordinating with internal team members and external partners, and helping address design changes throughout the project lifecycle. The Junior Structural Engineer will also contribute to code compliance checks, participate in project meetings, and continuously develop technical skills through on-the-job learning and mentoring.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering, with knowledge of building materials, load paths, and design principles.
Ability to perform Calculations and Structural Analysis for common structural systems using appropriate methods and software tools.
Proficiency with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for preparing and revising structural drawings and details.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
Familiarity with relevant building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC) is preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and quality.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Interest in professional development, including pursuit of Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or equivalent certification.
