Role Description The Service and Application Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Syalde. The individual in this role will perform field service visits to install, commission, inspect, and maintain equipment, ensuring that systems operate safely and efficiently. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing technical issues, troubleshooting faults, and providing timely technical support to customers on-site and remotely. The role involves working closely with clients to understand their application requirements, recommending suitable solutions, and supporting product demonstrations or trials. The Service and Application Engineer will also prepare service reports, maintain documentation, coordinate with internal teams for spare parts and upgrades, and communicate clearly with customers to manage expectations and build long-term trust.
Qualifications
Strong field service skills, including on-site installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical support, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or system-related issues.
Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients, explain technical information clearly, and manage service expectations.
Relevant technical education such as a diploma or degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or related field).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications; familiarity with safety standards and best practices.
Comfort working in field environments, including travel to customer sites, and readiness to respond to urgent service requirements.
Basic computer skills for reporting, documentation, and use of diagnostic tools; prior experience in industrial or capital equipment service is an advantage.
