Are you passionate about driving corporate sustainability, decarbonization, and science-based climate resilience? We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Climate Change Consultant to join our growing advisory practice. In this role, you will help global clients navigate the complex landscape of climate risk, regulatory compliance, and sustainable finance.
Key Responsibilities
* Climate Risk & Scenario Analysis: Lead physical and transition risk assessments using Representative Concentration Pathways (RCP) and Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSP) scenarios to evaluate long-term asset vulnerability.
* ESG Advisory & Reporting: Design and implement robust Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies aligned with global frameworks (e.g., TCFD, ISSB, CSRD, GRI).
* Life Cycle Assessment (LCA): Conduct comprehensive cradle-to-grave or cradle-to-gate LCAs to quantify product carbon footprints and identify circular economy opportunities.
* Geospatial Analytics: Utilize ArcGIS and spatial modeling to map climate hazards, supply chain exposures, and physical asset risks.
* Sustainable Finance & Taxonomy: Assist clients in green bond issuances, sustainability-linked loan frameworks, and alignment with EU Taxonomy or local green finance standards.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional executive teams to translate complex climate modeling and emissions data into actionable, cost-effective corporate decarbonization roadmaps.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Climate Engineering, Sustainable Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
* Experience: 3 to 6 years of professional consulting or industry experience focused on climate change, carbon accounting, or ESG strategy.
* Technical Proficiency:
* Demonstrated expertise in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies and software (e.g., SimaPro, GaBi).
* Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS / geospatial analysis for climate risk mapping.
* Hands-on experience with climate modeling data, IPCC reports, and RCP/SSP scenario analysis.
* Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of sustainable finance instruments, carbon markets, Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions accounting, and net-zero target setting (SBTi).
