LIOLAN is a fast-growing mobile app and game company building and scaling Android applications for millions of users worldwide.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Android Developer with strong hands-on experience in Android Launcher development and mobile app monetization.
This is a highly practical engineering role. You will work on Android applications at scale, with a particular focus on Launcher products, system-level Android functionality, advertising monetization, user engagement, and performance optimization.
The ideal candidate combines deep Android engineering expertise with a strong understanding of how mobile applications generate revenue through advertising.
The Role
You will take ownership of the development and optimization of our Android Launcher products and other high-scale mobile applications.
You will work closely with our Product, UA, Monetization, Data and Engineering teams to build products that are technically strong, highly engaging and commercially successful.
A major part of the role will be working on the intersection between Android system functionality, Launcher UX, advertising SDKs, mediation and monetization.
We are looking for someone who has actually built and shipped Android Launchers, rather than someone with only general Android application experience.
Key Responsibilities
Android Launcher Development
Design, develop and maintain production-grade Android Launcher applications.
Work with Android Launcher and Home Screen functionality, including default launcher behavior, app drawer, widgets, shortcuts, notifications and system integrations.
Develop customized launcher experiences optimized for performance, engagement and monetization.
Work with Android APIs and system components to build reliable and efficient launcher functionality.
Optimize application startup time, memory usage, battery consumption and overall performance.
Ensure compatibility across different Android versions and device manufacturers.
Investigate and resolve complex Android OS and device-specific issues.
Build and maintain scalable architecture for applications with large user bases.
Mobile Monetization
Integrate and optimize advertising SDKs and mediation platforms across our applications.
Work extensively with AppLovin MAX, AdMob, Google Ad Manager and other advertising demand sources.
Optimize ad placements, frequency, waterfall/bidding configuration and monetization logic.
Analyze and improve key monetization metrics including eCPM, fill rate, ARPDAU, ad revenue and user LTV.
Implement and test different monetization strategies across user segments, GEOs and applications.
Work closely with the Monetization and UA teams to understand the relationship between traffic quality, user behavior and revenue.
Troubleshoot ad SDK issues, crashes, latency, loading failures and mediation problems.
Data & Optimization
Use data to identify opportunities to improve user engagement and monetization.
Work with analytics platforms such as Firebase, Google Analytics, BigQuery and MMPs.
Implement A/B tests and experiments across product and monetization features.
Analyze user behavior and performance by GEO, device, acquisition source and user segment.
Build tools and automation that help the team continuously improve application performance and revenue.
AI & Automation
Work with our team to introduce AI, automation and intelligent optimization into our mobile products and monetization infrastructure.
Build automated tools for analyzing performance, detecting anomalies and identifying monetization opportunities.
Explore the use of LLMs, AI agents and machine learning to automate engineering, analytics and optimization workflows.
Help build systems that can automatically identify opportunities and recommend or execute product and monetization improvements.
Requirements
Must Have
5+ years of professional Android development experience.
Significant hands-on experience developing Android Launchers.
Proven experience shipping and maintaining a production Android Launcher used by real users.
Strong knowledge of Kotlin and Android SDK.
Deep understanding of Android application architecture and lifecycle.
Strong experience working with Android APIs, services and system-level functionality.
Experience optimizing Android applications for performance, memory, battery usage and stability.
Strong experience integrating and maintaining mobile advertising SDKs.
Practical experience with AppLovin MAX, AdMob or similar mediation platforms.
Strong understanding of mobile advertising monetization and ad revenue optimization.
Experience working with analytics and debugging tools such as Firebase, Crashlytics and Android Studio Profiler.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Ability to independently own features from architecture and development through production deployment and optimization.

Experience with Android utility applications such as launchers, cleaners, battery tools, weather, QR scanners, security or similar products.
Strong experience with AppLovin MAX mediation.
Experience with AdMob, Google Ad Manager, Unity Ads, Mintegral, Pangle, Liftoff or other ad networks.
Experience optimizing eCPM, fill rate, ARPDAU and ad revenue.
Experience with Firebase, BigQuery and large-scale mobile analytics.
Experience with Singular, AppsFlyer or other MMPs.
Experience with A/B testing and remote configuration.
Experience building internal automation and optimization tools.
Experience using AI/LLMs, AI agents or machine learning in production.
