Job Summary:
CGLIA Solutions is a Hyderabad-based enterprise SaaS company looking for a senior QA Automation Architect / Consultant to design and implement a practical, maintainable automation strategy for a mature, forms-heavy workflow product used by universities, hospitals, research institutions, biotech companies, and pharmaceutical organizations.
Our software supports research compliance, research administration, and animal research management workflows, including protocol and grant creation, submission, review, approval, amendments, and ongoing management. The application includes complex forms, configurable questions and rules, multi-step approval workflows, role-based permissions, and customer-specific setups.
This is a senior, hands-on consulting engagement. We need someone who can assess the current QA process, recommend the right automation architecture, build the initial framework, and guide our internal team—not someone who only converts manual test cases into Selenium or Cypress scripts.
Application Context
The platform is Java / Spring / JSP based and includes large, multi-section forms, conditional fields and validations, multi-step approval workflows, configurable labels and rules, SaaS and standalone deployments, and significant manual regression coverage today.
A key challenge is that screens, questions, labels, validations, permissions, and workflow paths can vary by customer and change over time. The automation framework must be resilient to these changes rather than tightly coupled to fixed screens, labels, or layouts.
Scope of Work
The consultant will be expected to review the current QA process and regression coverage, define the automation architecture and toolset, build a reusable framework, automate selected high-value workflows, establish standards for test data, roles, permissions, selectors, diagnostics, reporting, and maintainability, integrate with CI/CD where appropriate, document the framework, train the internal team, and create a roadmap for expanding automation coverage.
Ideal Freelancer
You should have strong experience designing automation frameworks for complex enterprise applications, especially workflow-heavy, forms-heavy, configurable SaaS or multi-tenant systems. Experience with dynamic forms, conditional logic, role-based workflows, customer-specific configurations, UI and API automation, Java/Spring environments, CI/CD integration, and automated test reporting is especially relevant.
We are open to different automation technologies. The consultant should be able to explain why a particular architecture and toolset are appropriate for this application, including the long-term maintenance implications.
Not a Fit If
· Your experience is mainly simple or static website automation.
· You build standalone UI scripts without a broader automation architecture.
· You rely on record-and-playback testing or brittle scripts tied to fixed labels and layouts.
· You prefer executing predefined test cases rather than owning the automation solution.
Expected Outcome
We want reliable regression coverage that remains maintainable as the product, workflows, and customer configurations evolve. The right consultant will combine QA architecture, hands-on automation engineering, and delivery ownership from assessment through implementation.
