Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Delhi, India. The Interior Designer will be responsible for developing design concepts, preparing layouts, and producing detailed drawings for residential and commercial spaces. Daily tasks include space planning, selecting finishes and materials, coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and ensuring designs comply with architectural and construction requirements. The role involves meeting with clients to understand their needs, presenting design proposals, and collaborating with architects, contractors, and vendors to oversee implementation. The Interior Designer will also support project documentation, maintain design standards, and help manage timelines to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
Qualifications
Strong interior design skills, including Interior Design and FF&E selection, with an eye for aesthetics, functionality, and client needs.
Proficiency in Space Planning to optimize layouts and circulation patterns for residential, commercial, or mixed-use environments.
Understanding of Architecture principles to align interior concepts with structural and building requirements.
Ability to create accurate Construction Drawings and documentation suitable for contractors and site execution.
Relevant diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools) and basic MS Office skills.
Strong visualization, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to explain design concepts to clients and project partners.
Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of local building codes, materials, and vendors in Delhi and surrounding areas is an advantage.
Prior experience in interior design or architectural firms, especially in on-site project coordination, is preferred.
