Role Description Staff Nurses (GNM and BSc) at NK Hospital provide direct patient care and support clinical teams across various specialties in an on-site, full-time role located in Gulbarga. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring patient vital signs, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining accurate nursing records, and assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Staff Nurses collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans, educate patients and families on treatment and recovery, and ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols. The role also involves preparing and managing patient admissions and discharges, providing pre- and post-operative care, and responding promptly to emergency and critical care needs. Staff Nurses are expected to uphold high standards of professional conduct, patient confidentiality, and compassionate service.
Qualifications
Recognized nursing qualification: GNM or BSc Nursing from an accredited institution, with valid nursing registration as per regulatory requirements.
Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and pre- and post-operative nursing management.
Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams across specialties such as cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, nephrology, and oncology.
Knowledge of hospital protocols, infection control practices, documentation standards, and basic emergency and critical care procedures.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and colleagues in a respectful and professional manner.
Capacity to work in rotational shifts, manage time efficiently, and remain calm and responsive in high-pressure situations.
Basic computer literacy for handling electronic medical records and hospital information systems.
Previous experience in a multi-specialty or tertiary care hospital is an advantage; fresher candidates with strong clinical training are also encouraged to apply.
