The O&M Analyst will provide day-to-day technical and commercial support across Alcazar Energy's operating wind and renewable asset portfolio. Working closely with O&M contractors and OEMs, the role covers contract oversight, performance monitoring and reporting, and the coordination needed to keep assets performing to expectation. The scope of the role is expected to grow as the portfolio expands
Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day oversight of O&M contracts across the operating wind and renewable portfolio, tracking scope, deliverables, and contractual KPIs.
• Monitor OEM performance data, SCADA outputs, and turbine fault and alarm logs across the portfolio, on a daily and weekly basis.
• Track availability, performance ratios, downtime, and root-cause trends by site and by turbine, and flag anomalies or recurring faults for follow-up.
• Coordinate with the O&M team, contractors, and OEMs on fault resolution, warranty claims, and performance guarantee tracking, keeping issues moving to closure.
• Prepare periodic performance reports for lenders and owners in line with financing and shareholder agreements, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
• Produce in-house reporting and updates summarising portfolio performance for O&M and wider management.
• Support budgeting, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at lifting portfolio-wide performance and availability.
• Maintain and continuously improve reporting templates, data pipelines, and performance tracking tools.
• Support ad hoc analysis requests from the investment committee, board, and lenders as they arise
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field.
• 2 – 4 years experience in renewable energy operations & maintenance, contract management, or asset performance analytics — wind and/or solar preferred.
• Working familiarity with SCADA systems, OEM performance portals, and turbine fault and alarm codes.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills; experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is an advantage.
• Excellent written English, with the ability to translate technical performance data into clear reporting for lenders, owners, and management.
• Strong relationship management skills, comfortable working directly with OEMs, contractors, lenders, and owners across different cultures and time zones.
• Highly organised and detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple site data streams and reporting deadlines in parallel.
• Based in Madrid, and willing to travel occasionally to portfolio assets across the Middle East and North Africa, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia.
