About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Workday Functional Consultant to support Covestro's HR operations, with a major focus on Compensation, Benefits, Absence Management, and Time Tracking. The consultant will work on day-to-day HR cases and incidents within Workday, ensuring smooth and compliant HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a thorough understanding of the overall Workday setup at Covestro, with a major focus on Workday Absence Management, Workday Time Tracking, Workday Benefits and Workday Compensation (ideally both Core Compensation and Advanced Compensation)
Independently handle and resolve HR cases and incidents within the respective process areas
Collaborate and communicate effectively with users raising HR cases, ensuring a professional and solution-oriented approach
Follow the HR Platform Incident Management protocols and adhere to defined SLAs
Perform EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder) load activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
Required Certifications: Workday Compensation Certification AND Workday Absence Management Certification OR Workday Time Tracking Certification
Solid overall understanding of HR processes, particularly in the areas of Compensation, Benefits, Absence, and Time Tracking
Experience with Workday Business Processes
Proficiency in Calculated Fields and Workday Reporting
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Self-driven and proactive working style — when it comes to operations, the ability to work independently and act proactively are among the most important qualities we are looking for. We expect the consultant to take ownership, anticipate issues, and drive resolutions without being prompted.
Strong understanding of data privacy regulations, particularly regarding sensitive personal/HR data — compliance with applicable data protection laws is mandatory, including considerations around data access from different locations
Nice to Have
Experience with additional Workday modules (e.g. Payroll, Security or HCM Core)
Prior experience working in an international HR IT environment
Familiarity with HR Platform governance and service management frameworks
