Roles & Responsibilities
Investigate Fraud: Examine financial statements, bank records, and ledgers to detect asset misappropriation, bribery, or money laundering.
Gather Evidence: Collect and secure documentation ensuring chain-of-custody compliance so it remains valid in a court of law.
Analyse Data: Run specialized tests (such as journal entry analysis or anomaly detection) using tools like IDEA, ACL, or SQL-based analytics.
Conduct Interviews: Question company employees, vendors, or management to corroborate findings and assess operational intent.
Report Findings: Prepare detailed, objective reports quantifying financial losses and outlining methods of operation.
Provide Litigation Support: Act as an expert witness in court hearings or legal depositions to explain technical financial evidence.
