Part-Time Dispute Resolution Specialist (Freelance)

Talk to Ron is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Dispute Resolution Specialist to join us on a flexible, freelance basis.
This is a small role to begin with, just a few hours per week, so it would work well for someone who already freelances or is looking for some additional work alongside their existing commitments.

What we need
You’ll be helping us with disputed commercial balances – looking into what’s happened, reviewing the information available, communicating with the parties involved and helping move matters towards a resolution.
A big part of the role is communication, so you’ll need to be comfortable dealing with clients, debtors and legal representatives. Some correspondence can be challenging, so we’re looking for someone who can stay professional, get to the actual issue and respond confidently without getting drawn into unnecessary back and forth.
We’re looking for someone with:
• At least 3 years’ relevant experience dealing with commercial disputes or contentious account matters
• Practical experience within the England & Wales jurisdiction
• Strong written English and the ability to draft professional correspondence
• Confidence dealing with difficult or challenging parties
• Good judgement, attention to detail and the ability to work independently
• An understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules – experience with proceedings or Defence matters would be a bonus
You don’t need to be legally qualified. For us, practical experience, good judgement and knowing how to handle a dispute are far more important.
As we grow, there may be an opportunity for the hours to increase.
