Job Title: Electrician
Department: Administration
Job Summary:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and equipment. Ensure electrical safety and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation:
1. Read blueprints and diagrams to determine electrical requirements.
2. Install wiring, circuits, and electrical equipment.
3. Connect electrical systems to power sources.
Maintenance and Repair:
1. Inspect and test electrical systems.
2. Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues.
3. Repair or replace defective equipment and components.
Safety and Compliance:
1. Ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
2. Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments.
3. Implement lockout/tagout procedures.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with contractors and other tradespeople.
2. Maintain records of work performed.
3. Assist with electrical upgrades and renovations.
4. Provide emergency electrical support.
Requirements:
Education and Training:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of apprenticeship program or vocational training.
Experience:
1. 2+ years of experience in electrical work.
2. Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations.
Skills:
1. Knowledge of electrical theory and circuits.
2. Proficiency with hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
3. Physical stamina and ability to work at heights.
4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
5. Effective communication and teamwork.
